Steps to Enable Unknown Sources on Android 8.0 and Above

Follow these steps to allow app installations from unknown sources:

  1. Open Device Settings: Go to your device's Settings.
  2. Navigate to Apps & Notifications: Scroll down and select Apps & notifications or Security, depending on your device.
  3. Find "Install Unknown Apps": Tap on Install unknown apps.
  4. Select the App: Choose the app (e.g., Chrome, File Manager) you want to allow for installing APK files.
  5. Enable the Setting: Turn on the Allow from this source toggle.
  6. Install the APK: Open the file manager or browser, locate the downloaded APK file, and tap on it to install.

Note: After installing the app, consider disabling the "Allow from this source" option to maintain device security.
